Escape From Grace at New Voices
March 29, 2007
Yesterday evening was the first ever public
showing of Escape From Grace. It played to a
sold-out crowd at the Ryerson Theatre and
received an overwhelming response.

Escape From Grace is a marvel!
Haley McGee, you've done it again! You've written another
marvel. I was sitting on the edge of my chair from the openning
scene and to the final moments. I couldn't wait to find out what
happened next to the lovable McCarthy family and their friends
who responded to the McCarthy family crisis with so much
humour and honesty while also struggling with personal issues.
Bravo! I can't wait to see Escape From Grace at the Fringe

Haley McGee, I just needed to tell you that my
friends who came to New Voices all absolutely
loved your play and want to see it when it is put
on "for real", so I will probably be bringing a
lot of people to see it at Fringe.
Congratulations... it really is fabulous work that
you've done.

Beautiful Work
Once again, the play was absolutely mind blowing!
It was just phenomenal! I couldn't stop thinking
about it all last night and all of today, it is
beautiful.

Escape From Grace
Haley! The play was absolutely amazing! true, i am
a huge fan of every bit of theatre you've ever
done, but this was especially great! i went home
and was telling all my roommates and such what a
excellent job you did. every character was so
unique and well developed and i thought that all
the little stories with each character came
together quite nicely. not to mention how
hilarious it was at some parts! every word that
came out of the uncle's mouth was so funny.
the play was really well done and we all had such
a great time! you are so talented and i really
enjoy coming to see the plays that you are
involved in! it was great to see you again, talk
to you soon.

I'm your biggest fan!
Haley McGee, I don't know if you remember me but
I was a year younger than you back in public
school. I had no idea you were still involved in
theatre, but you always were a little nut back
then. I was astounded by your play, and yet
somehow it all made sense to imagine Haley McGee
as the new up and coming young playwright that
you have become. You have a special gift, and I
will continue to support you all the way, thank
you for sharing this story.

What A Show!
I am amazed and inspired by the talent that I
witnessed at the New Voices Festival,
specifically in Haley Mcgee's play, Escape From
Grace. Best of of luck to you and your show,
I'll be sure to see it again at the Fringe!!
